It’s important to recognize the different signs and symptoms of a stroke so you can be able to recognize them when they occur. A lot of the time people that are in a situation where they are not aware of what is going on will not be able to recognize that something is off. That’s why it’s very important for people that are at risk to watch out for some of the warning signs. Here are some of them.
The first of the warning signs of a stroke symptom is usually loss of consciousness or Hallucination. They may be experiencing numbness or tingling in one side of their body. This can happen all the way from the head to the extremities. If someone is experiencing numbness on one side of the body, it could be because of a lack of circulation in that area. If someone else is standing next to them and notices that they are experiencing this symptom they should try to get up and check it out.
Another very common symptom is a feeling of weakness on one side of the body. Again, this could be due to circulation issues if the issue is only in one area. When this happens, it’s important to immediately call 911 or go to the emergency room. This is an extremely serious symptom knowledge that can really help determine the need for acute stroke treatment.
Another sign that is quite similar is a decrease in the amount of blood that is getting to the brain. This means that the flow of blood to the brain is decreasing. If there is a problem with the brain cells it can cause the person to lose consciousness. Even if the person is not unconscious, they may not be able to move and be able to communicate with others. This is also an extremely important symptom to realize, especially if you are in a situation where someone else needs to perform CPR on you.
Another sign of a possible stroke is sudden confusion or dizziness. People who have suffered a stroke will often experience either double vision or problems with their balance. This symptom can be a little hard to see with a resting brain, but if you have trouble seeing then this could be a problem. The lack of balance could also make walking a challenge. If your eyes are not working right and you experience difficulty with walking, then you should get to the hospital immediately.
Another sign that you need to pay attention to is if you experience an imbalance in your mental status. Sudden confusion or loss of consciousness is something that should be given a serious look by immediate medical personnel. Your mind might be arguing with your body and telling you that you are not well. If this starts to happen then you should start to calm down and get some rest. A little rest can go a long way when it comes to brain function. You should never ignore a sudden confusion because it could be a sign of a stroke.
Slurred speech is another symptom that is difficult to ignore. Slurred speech is the spoken voice of someone who has suffered a stroke and cannot speak coherently. If you have trouble hearing or if you have trouble following simple sentences, then you may have difficulty with understanding what someone says. This means that if you have trouble with simple sentences then you are not likely to understand what someone is saying. If you have a problem with slurring speech, then you should get to the hospital immediately because it could be a sign of a stroke.
All of these symptoms should never be ignored. If you have any one of these symptoms, then you need to see your doctor immediately. Stroke symptoms can be signs that permanent brain damage has occurred or they can also be signs of another condition that needs to be dealt with. The difference is that the sooner you deal with a stroke symptom, the more likely you will live a long and normal life. The longer that you go untreated, the worse your chances are of ever recovering from your stroke.
