MS symptoms are highly variable and sometimes unpredictable. No two individuals have the same symptoms, and therefore every individual’s symptoms may vary or change over time. One individual may experience just a few of the possible signs while another person is experiencing dozens. Here we will discuss some of the most common MS symptoms that affect nearly everyone.
Generally, MS Symptoms are classified into two groups: one that affects your cognitive abilities and another that affects your physical abilities. Because there is such a wide variety of different MS Symptoms, it is hard to point to a single reason that causes these problems. The truth is that multiple factors can lead to someone experiencing these side effects. Some of these factors are simply due to age, while others are due to environmental conditions, such as pollution, or due to a deficiency of certain vitamins.
When it comes to MS Symptoms, fatigue is probably the most widely experienced symptom. Nearly everyone who has MS will experience fatigue at some point in their lives. Sometimes, however, fatigue can be so severe that it leads to other symptoms. For example, somebody with MS may find themselves falling asleep frequently throughout the day or experiencing episodes where they feel extremely tired and need to take a nap. These types of short term memory lapses usually do not lead to long term problems.
MS Symptoms such as hot flashes and night sweats are very difficult to deal with on their own. They often lead to extreme exhaustion and a loss of energy that can make it extremely difficult to get through the day. While there is no cure for multiple sclerosis, there are several treatment options available. One of the most popular treatment options for relapses involves using medication and other common methods of therapy to help reduce the number of relapses that occur.
MS Symptoms can also include muscle cramps, weakness, stiffness, and bladder/ bowel incontinence. Muscle stiffness is usually experienced after an episode of MS. This stiffness can affect all areas of the body, but is more often an issue in the legs. People who have MS typically experience problems with their legs during the day. Common symptoms may include uncontrollable leg movement, a burning sensation when the legs are touched or the muscles in the legs become tense. Some MS sufferers also experience involuntary twitching.
MS first symptoms often do not lead to anything else, but can eventually lead to other issues. Muscle spasms can be a sign of multiple sclerosis. If MS first becomes apparent in the spine, it is known as Neuromuscular Relapsing Disease. MS first symptoms are usually first noticed in the legs, but can also include the hands and feet.
In addition to the pain and other physical symptoms, MS can also lead to a number of more serious issues such as bladder dysfunction and decreased ability to urinate. MS sufferers who have early signs of bladder dysfunction or who have been experiencing problems with urination for several months should immediately seek medical attention. This increased risk for bladder dysfunction and decreased ability to urinate could mean that someone may have MS.
MS and dizziness often go hand in hand. People who experience dizziness can also find that they have trouble standing or walking, can become unsteady on their feet, have a pounding heart and can experience shortness of breath. Many times, when MS is mentioned, people think of these physical symptoms. However, they can also point to a number of mental symptoms such as confusion, depression, anger and frustration, lack of concentration, paranoia and mania. Someone who has MS and has been experiencing a lot of these mental symptoms should seek professional help right away. Early detection of MS makes it easier to manage and control the disease.
